Hyrum and I decided to be spontaneous and go to Lagoon by ourselves for the weekend. We left Kyla with Hyrum's parents and left Friday after he got off work. We stayed at a campsite next to Lagoon for the night, layed down the backseat and slept in our car (we didn't want to take the time to set up a tent. It actually wasn't that bad and it was a really fun way to sleep. Something we've never done before.)! Then we spent all of Saturday at Lagoon! It was so nice to be by ourselves for so long without having to worry about Kyla! She did great and had fun at Grandma and Grandpa's house while we also had fun in the sun! We got sunburnt because it was so hot but we needed some color anyway so I don't mind. :) We had a lot of fun though and hope to do another spontaneous trip again sometime soon!

Air Show and Bowling
Ever since Kyla and I flew home to Washington, she's been in love with airplanes. We went to the Rexburg Airshow on Saturday and she loved it. She enjoyed looking at the airplanes and seeing them in the sky. Although she did hug us pretty tight and was a little scared when the planes were loud, she loved every minute of the rest. There were a lot of people there so I thought it was fun being in and around the crowd. Afterall, crowds do not happen much in Rexburg.
Kyla inside a plane! (Don't worry, the picture is supposed to look like this. I was playing around with photo editing again:))
Our attempt to take a family picture while waiting for the airshow
That same day, we used our free bowling passes we got from Hyrum's mom. Hyrum's sister's Chris and Heidi also had a free pass so we all went together with our husbands and kids. It was lots of fun, even though I didn't do well at ALL! Then again...do I ever do well at bowling? We sure had fun anyway.

Trip to Washington, and Graduation
I spent all of last week with my family in Washington for my brother, Aaron's graduation. Hyrum stayed in Rexburg starting his new job which is going really well. It was hard being away from him and we missed him a lot but it was so fun to be with my family and spend so much time with them! It was so great to see all of my grandparents, my aunt and especially my dad! Here are a few pictures I took while away.

New Haircut
I was planning on growing my hair out but I was just getting so sick of it! Ever since my hair has been short, I've loved it. I feel more confident, pretty and just all around better about myself. So yesterday I went and got it cut to be short again! I definitely feel SOOOO much better and happier....not that I wasn't happy before, but you get my point I hope. :) Be honest and let me know which cut YOU like better. Long or short?! Here is the before and after pictures.
The best news of the day; however, is Hyrum got a job!!!!!!!! He was applying for places relating to his computer science major trying to find programming opportunities. In Rexburg, it was pretty hard being a small town, but after 6 weeks of interviews, lots of praying, and the Lord guiding us, he got it! The company is called Yellowstone Hotel Systems and he'll be programming websites for small hotels around the country. It's in Rexburg so we don't have to move anywhere. We are so extremely grateful for this opportunity. Our testimonies have increased in many ways and our faith has been strengthened. Thanks for all of your prayers on our behalf!

Our Friends!
Hannah Cheney
I've been so blessed with amazing friends through my life. Today my friend Sarah Cheney, her husband Edgar and daughter Hannah came to visit us from Salt Lake. They lived in Rexburg for awhile and then moved away last summer because Edgar graduated and had a job. Anyway, they came to Rexburg today and visited with us for awhile, then they attended the temple while we watched Hannah. We had custard ice cream afterwards and then they were on their way to visit family. It was so fun to see them and I miss them again already! Here are some pictures we took at the custard shop here in town.

Hyrum's Computer Business
Hyrum is such a hard worker. He's a computer science major and works very hard at what he loves doing. He has recently finished his new website www.computerminded.blogspot.com and he's so excited to share it with everyone.
This website teaches some computer principles that everyone should know. He also refers to many websites and free software that will make computer life more simple and more enjoyable. No matter how familiar you are with computers he promises that you will find things you have never seen before as well as many ways to laugh and have fun. He will be updating the website regularly and hope to hear feedback from you.
Along with the website, he just started his own computer repair business called Computer Minded. If you're in the Rexburg, Idaho area and need help he can come to your place to fix your computer or you can drop it off with him. If you're not in the area he can fix it through the internet if you have a high speed internet connection. He charges a reasonable rate and offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee for his work. He is happy to help you with anything relating to your computer. He will answer any email or chat questions you have at no cost and you can chat with him directly from his website.
Anyway, check the site out. It's really awesome! Thanks guys!
